Transferring tickets on Livepass is a straightforward process, but it's essential to be aware of certain conditions before initiating a transfer.
Understanding the pre-requisites
i. Ticket Type: Only tickets embedded with a dynamic QR code are transferable via the Livepass system. Tickets with a static QR code are not eligible for transfers.
ii. Platform Limitation: Ticket transfers can ONLY be executed on the Livepass website. As of now, our mobile apps does not support this feature.
Here's a detailed guide on how to transfer tickets to someone else on Livepass:
Step 1: Login to Your Account
Begin by accessing the Livepass website then log in with your account credentials.
Step 2: Accessing your Tickets
Once you have logged in, click on My Account on the top right corner of the page. From the dropdown menu, select My Tickets. You'll see a list of events for which you've purchased tickets. Identify and select the event whose tickets you wish to transfer.
Step 3: Initiating the Transfer
Beneath the event details or ticket information, there is an option labeled Transfer, click on it. You will now be prompted to choose which specific tickets you want to transfer. Once selected, click Continue.
Step 4: Enter the Recipient Information
Input the recipient's name and email address. It's important to note that only email addresses associated with a valid Livepass account will be eligible to receive the transferred tickets. Review all details carefully, ensuring that the recipient's information is accurate. Once everything looks correct, click Confirm Transfer.
Step 5: Transfer Completion
The tickets will be immediately transferred to the recipient's Livepass account. Both the sender (you) and the recipient will receive confirmation emails, detailing the ticket transfer.
- Always ensure that the recipient's email address is linked to an active Livepass account.
- In cases where the recipient doesn't have a Livepass account, they'll need to sign up before the transfer can be completed.
- It's advisable to inform the recipient about the incoming transfer to avoid any confusion.
- For refund matters, only the original ticket purchaser is entitled to receiving the refund. You are required to transfer the tickets back to the initial purchaser to request for the refund.
Transferring tickets can be a handy feature, especially if plans change or if you're gifting the tickets. Always ensure you follow the correct steps to guarantee a smooth transfer process.
